Fundraising - even if organized to perfection - can be a bust when the weather does not cooperate. Today I assisted one of the Rotary Clubs in Markham with one of their annual large fundraising events: the Rib Fest. It was the 12th time they organized this event and the preparation was very good, the site was impressive, the ribs were ready, the bands were lined up for good music, the beer tent of the Rotarians was ready to go, but........ pouring rain all day and you can see on the photo that the area of the Rib Fest was deserted. What a bummer. Tomorrow better weather?
