At the end of July we always go to a rented cottage with Mary's sister & brother and their families. This year our Hilary is "down under" in Australia and Mark just started his new job at LaFarge, so he could not yet take time off. Yesterday the entire rest of the gang loaded on the "pontoon" which belongs to the owners of the cottage, to go for pizza and ice cream in Fennelon Falls on the other side of Sturgeon Lake. It is an annual tradition. I decided this time to "stay put" and enjoy the peace & quiet of this wonderful place....
Nice and comfy in the sunshine. Little did they know that on the way back later in the afternoon they would get caught in an unexpected thunder & lightning storm. Fortunately they made it safely back including 87 year old Opa Vandenboom.....
