April snow again

As every year, we get some late snow. April 21 this time, Last year it was in early May....

I started on a second draft for my fiction book. Part 1 still in southern Africa region. But now developing a plot which can continue in part 2 (Colombia) and part 3 (Brazil). This will keep me busy for a while, I am sure. But it is fun trying to figure out how the story can develop + write, read, revise, look up some stuff on the internet, write again, etc.

Hilary sent me this photo today. She started reading the stories of the travels, people and places of her father's past 40 or so years. On the beach near Stanley Park in beautiful Vancouver....
 

Hello April

I finished my "book" (Little we know; a life full of travel with an open mind) and shared copies with Hilary & Shayd, Mark & Carly, Han, Ger & Bert, Sue & Ralph and Joe & Marcy. The household in Sarnia received their copy today via the mail; Marcy send a nice message and photo to confirm.

Walking along the canal yesterday urged me to make these two photos....

Hilary 29

Hilary turned 29 this past weekend. She went skiing in Whistler with a group of friends. Even one of the local birds came to wish her a happy birthday (look closely at her raised left hand). Mary ordered me also an electric bike which I picked up; now we can make cycling tours together....

Nice days

Enjoying the lazy life during a few nice sunny days in March. Also busy with reading over my draft of the non-fiction writing and researching on notes to support the text. Fun work to do....

Coastlines

Hilary sent us this photo taken from Vancouver West towards Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver. A beautiful view. Today I walked the small beach in Port Dalhousie - near St Catharines - along Lake Ontario. It can't really compete with the Vancouver vistas, but still pretty nice on a sunny day

Cleaning up again

Now that the snow is in the process of leaving us, it is time to clean up some garbage from the street sides again every now and then. Yesterday I picked up two garbage bags along our "road with the hills". It was a nice day and it felt good. On we go...
